Winery Review: This Pinot Grigio originates in vineyards located at the foothills of Northern Italy's spectacular Alps, home of some of the world's finest Pinot Grigio. With over a half-century of winemaking expertise and a passion for quality, Cavit proudly presents this remarkable versatile wine. Elegant, crisp, and refreshing, with a delicate floral aroma and flavors of citrus, apple, and pear. It is best enjoyed well-chilled. Salute!

My Review: To continue my trend this week, I chose the cheapest bottle of Pinot Grigio I could find; $5.00, When I tried this wine it had been chilled overnight. Upon opening the bottle, I was greeted with the sweet smell of honeydew and pears. It had a light and crisp taste, but ultimately fell flat for me. It was pretty bland overall and didn't have a lot of flavor. I paired it with raspberries, apples and a really strong goat cheese. The fruits complimented the wine and brought out the sweeter flavors. The goat cheese overpowered the taste of the wine and drown out any existence of it. Overall, I was not impressed with this wine. I would recommend spending a bit more money to get a decent bottle of Pinot Grigio. I guess in this case, you get what you pay for.
