Winery Review:  Citrus aromas flow through your cranium, giving impressions of sticky honeysuckle and summer fresh cantaloupe. The sumptuous flavors are reminiscent of more melons, white peaches, creamy vanilla and a splash of lime. A well-balanced, silky Chardonnay that is sure to please the palate.

My Review: This week I decided to compare Chardonnays. I picked a relatively cheap one and a higher priced bottle. Jawbreaker was the cheap end of the deal. Chardonnay is one of the wines I like to enjoy by itself. I will pair it with food, but if I just want a glass of wine, this is my go to. When I opened this bottle, I smelled lemon, citrus, sour smell and something akin to fresh cut grass. I wasn't quite sure what to think. I had a feeling this was going to be a tart Chardonnay. When I tasted it, it was very acidic and sour. However, it had a surprisingly buttery finish. The color of it was very light, almost clear. The only thing I tried it with was a few table grapes to see if it would bring out any sweetness in the wine. It made it more sour. Overall, I'm not really sure what to think about this. It's not great, but it's not the worst thing I've had either. I think if I was in a pinch and needed a cheap bottle, I might pick this one up. Will I buy it again anytime soon......probably not. There are so many good wines out there!
